Guide to Purchasing Prints and Online

Most images found on this website are available as a print. Simply use the pull-down menu to choose the print size and click “add to cart”. The images shot with traditional film were produced with various format cameras, small, medium and large. Images that were originally shot with film are scanned at a very high resolution for sharp digital output. Others were shot with a digital camera with a very large file size. Various print sizes are offered and are determined by many factors including original camera format, digital file size, and subject matter. Choice of sizes are custom dimensions due to the proportions of the photo - often non-standard dimensions.

color prints are produced with a digital laser lightjet printer - considered by many to be the finest quality printer available today. In the digital form there is almost unlimited control over color hue, saturation, contrast and density which makes Lightjet laser prints superior to previous traditional printing. Prints are created on archival paper such as Fuji Crystal Archive color c-print for best longevity - 50-70 years.

The photographer feels that the black and white images are better served with a pigment-based inkjet printer sometimes referred to as Giclee Fine Art Prints. The Epson ultrachrome printers are excellent for black and white images that rival fibre based prints with deep blacks and excellent dynamic range. These are printed on cotton rag paper and also have a very long life span, 75-100 years.

Please be advised that due to variations between viewing an image on a computer monitor and viewing a printed page, there may be considerable variation in color and tonality between what you see on your monitor and the print that is delivered to you. Paper size will be slightly larger than the image. The print is hand signed, unmatted and unframed to allow choice for mat and frame suitable for final destination. However it is highly recommended that one uses acid-free materials when matting and framing to have the longevity mentioned above.

Payments are made securely using the Paypal system after confirming your order. It will then be carefully shipped in a firm cardboard tube via UPS. If you are unhappy with the print, just return it in its original condition within 14 days (using a firm cardboard tube), and we will gladly refund your money.
